GAL GEORGE GJURIN, 1978, Oshawa/Toronto, ON, 25-year professional vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, producer, composer, arranger, independent publisher, poet. He’s released 24 albums with original music, always supported by extensive touring (festivals, theatres, sports/music halls etc.). He has presented his originals LIVE in the U.S., Canada, France, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Ireland, Slovakia, Iceland, Croatia, Germany etc.

Two-time semi-finalist in Nashville, TN, USA, at the world’s largest songwriting competition at International Songwriters Competition ISC 2020 & ISC 2021 (reaching top 50 among 25.000 songwriters). ISC competition in Nashville has the most prestigious panel of judges of all the songwriting and music contests in the world, offering exposure and the opportunity to have your songs heard by the most influential decision-makers in the music industry.

One of his outstanding touring achievements was a 2-year Cantabile European tour (2013–2015) with a full 86-piece symphonic orchestra, for which he’d written 5.500 pages of symphonic scores.

 

In addition to top-tier critically acclaimed songwriting and his 3 octave active vocal range Gal plays over 50 instruments (all keys, guitars and guitar-like instruments, brass, strings, woodwinds, drums & percussive instruments and various folk & ethno world music instruments + orchestral composing/conducting and arranging (symphonic, big-band, choirs, jazz combo etc.).

His musical vocabulary is broad: folk, roots, jazz, blues, rock, classical, country/bluegrass, pop, Americana, world-music etc.). He usually tours with his 5–10 piece band. His poetry has been translated into 7 languages and is found in various notable poetry anthologies.
